Facilities Designed and built to the highest standard, our facilities are second to none. A state-of-the-art voice activated alarm system, linked to the nursing stations and Matrons office, is fitted in every room throughout the home, with further nurse-call facilities in every toilet and bathroom. We employ the latest nursing care aids, including a hydrotherapy "Rhapsody" bath by ARJO, ensuring comfort and safety at all times. Parklands has 36 single rooms, plus 4 double rooms (for those wishing to share with a partner of their choice). All are well decorated and furnished with en-suite toilet and washing facilities, direct dial telephone and colour television. Rooms on the first floor are served by an automatic passenger lift, able to accommodate wheelchair users. Our main communal areas overlook the large, secluded gardens. They include two separate dining rooms, a spacious main lounge, quiet room, separate smoking room, and a pleasant courtyard. Paved and patio areas allow accessibility for wheelchair users. We also have a private guest room enabling visitors or relatives to stay overnight, when required. Our chef takes great pride in the preparation of wholesome nutritious meals to a superb standard. We offer a varied menu, with choices available at every meal, suited to both personal tastes and any particular dietary needs. Fresh fruit, light snacks and drinks are available throughout the day, and friends and family are welcome to dine with us, by arrangement.
